Pathways is the title of one of the latest work from my studio in Tokai, Cape Town. The past months have been a rollercoaster ride for me, my family and South Africa as a nation. Suffice it to say we are at a crossroad and life as we knew it is no longer the same. On the bright side, I am privileged and grateful for many things in this beautiful country even during the continued rather stringent lock-down (we are on day 123 as I am writing this). It seems mundane to paint and talk about art during this testing time but I believe art is helping many of us to cope and have faith in the future. Stay well and send me a note, if you like, from wherever this message finds you.

My beautiful artist friends who keep me going and motivated during the many weeks of lock-down in spite of the prescribed distance (from left): Anthea Czech, Heidi Benn and Debbie Field. We have been collaborating and working 'together' via Zoom on assignments given by our fabulous teacher and facilitator Debbie. The resultant discussions are always invigorating and energising. Thank you, dear friends.
