Greetings at the end of 2021
As the year 2021 comes to an end I wanted to send my warmest greetings from this beautiful part of the world. I hope you are well and can enjoy the Festive Season with family and friends, in spite of all the disconcerting developments happening around us.
My year was filled with work, painting and travels to reconnect with family and friends up north - and immersing myself in the incredible richness and diversity of art and culture between Paris and Morocco. I feel privileged and grateful for this fantastic experience, before travelling and socialising has become increasingly difficult again.
LOVE LOCAL ART
Back home in Cape Town I was fortunate to participate in a number of interesting exhibitions this year, including shows at Zeitz Mocaa, Eclectica Contemporary, Marvol Gallery at Hazenal Wine Estate and our own group show Inside Out at the Alliance Francaise. I thank gallery owners and curators and everyone involved in making these exhibitions possible. It was certainly not an easy task to plan and execute any art show under ever-changing regulations. I also extend my gratitude to all those who generously supported artists and purchased artworks this year.
Enjoy your holidays and Christmas celebrations wherever you may be. Stay safe and healthy and have a good start into an exciting and artful 2022.
Much love, Yasmine
