Winter Journal & Save the Date

After visiting family and friends in Europe it feels good to be back in the studio. As I am preparing to discover the Philippines later this month, I found myself imagining what it would be like. Here are three new pieces in tropical tones. Rain has been abundant this winter and so these paintings provide a colour burst through the dark and heavy clouds, before the days get longer and warmer again. Fortunately the dams are full!

Save the Date: October 3
 

On Thursday, October 3, I will participate in a one-day group show at the beautiful Steenberg Estate in Constantia, Cape Town. Together with 6 or 7 local artists new works will be shown (and on sale) for one day only. So, please save the date in your calendar. Formal invites to follow shortly. From mid-August to mid-September the studio will be closed and I look forward to seeing you at the show in October! Enjoy the first impressions of Spring in South Africa or the end of Summer elsewhere.
